Rugstorm Warranty Policy 

1. General Terms

This warranty policy is provided by Rugstorm. This Policy covers the rugged tablet and its accessories, both electronic and non-electronic, sold by us or our authorized sales partners (collectively referred to as “Product").

2. Standard Warranty

The rugged tablet is covered under a standard warranty for a period of 2 year from the date of purchase ("Warranty Period"). The accessories are also covered under a standard warranty for a period of 2 year from the date of purchase.

3. Extended Warranty

We offer extended warranties for the rugged tablet for periods of 3 or 5 years from the date of purchase. The extended warranty does not cover battery packs and accessories, and must be purchased at the time of the tablet purchase or within the standard 2-year warranty period.

4. Guarantee Period for Repairing

We guarantee that the rugged tablet can be repaired for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase. For electronic accessories, we guarantee a repair period of 3 years from the date of purchase. 

Rugstorm will, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, repair the defect free of charge using new or refurbished replacement parts, or replace the product with a new product or a product manufactured from new or repairable used parts and at least functionally compatible with Same as original product. When replacing products or parts, any replacement product becomes your property and the replaced item becomes the property of Rugstorm. Parts supplied by Rugstorm in fulfillment of its warranty obligations must be used on products requiring warranty service.

During the course of repair procedures, it may become essential to reset or substitute the system's mass storage or restore the operating system in the storage media to its initial factory settings. In the course of these repair operations, there is a possibility that all data stored on the mass storage media could be erased. This potential data loss is not encompassed under any warranty scheme, whether standard or optional. The onus of safeguarding the data on the device rests solely with the user or customer. As a precautionary measure, it is advised that a data backup be executed prior to submitting a device for repair.

5. Warranty Coverage

The warranty applies only to products with authentic product serial numbers and covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period. During this period, we will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a Product that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

6. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by conditions, malfunctions, or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship. This includes, but is not limited to, damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, modification, unauthorized repair, or failure to follow the instructions provided with the Product.

7. Claims Process

To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you. Please keep your purchase receipt and any other relevant information as proof of the purchase date.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any costs, attorney fees, expenses, losses or delays alleged to be as a consequence of any damage to, failure of, or defect in any product including, but not limited to, any claims for loss of profits.

9. Changes to the Warranty Policy

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue this warranty policy at any time, so review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
